GOES BY: Cassandra to everyone apart from her mate who can call her Cassy along with other things that no one else could get away with. She will tolerate others shortening her name to Cass but only if she is in a good mood. AGE AND DOB: 107, 20th September 1911. SPECIES: Therianthrope; Wolf CAREER: None. CURRENT RESIDENCE: The Factory. MARTIAL STATUS: Mated to Reginald ‘Reg’ Ashworth. SEXUALITY: Heterosexual. ETHER: Yes. Cassandra feels like warm silk against your skin, there’s a very sensual feeling to her over the ether. She uses the ether constantly to communicate with Reg, often having a conversation with him over the ether at the same time as she is actually talking to him in person. supernatural [top.] ABILITIES THE WOLF. Cassandra, like all therianthropes, has access to an animal form, and complete control over her transformations, something she mastered a long time ago. When in animal form Cassandra appears to be a Maned Wolf, which makes her look more like a Fox on stilts than anything else. She is an average sized female standing around 3.1 meters tall at the shoulders and weighing about 50lbs. Her body is covered in long fur which ranges from reddish brown to golden orange in colour, with black fur down her legs and around her ears and muzzle, she also has a white tuft on the end of her tail and a bib beneath her throat; like wild Maned Wolves she has a distinctive black mane which can be raised when she is displaying aggression or is feeling threatened. Because Cassandra changes often and has done so for a number of years, she has ceased aging physically, she still looks to be in her late teens to early twenties, which isn’t technically a skill so much as it is a pleasant by-product of being a werewolf. SKILLS: Cassandra is very skilled at hiding her true emotions from all those around her, it is a skill she has honed over the years and one she uses pretty much all the time. Having never had to work a day in her life she doesn’t really have any skills that would be useful to anyone else except her. She has become very proficient at manipulating those around her, especially men, so she can get what she wants but she doesn’t do this too often as she knows it upsets Reg and that is one thing she hates to do. Not a skill as such but she knows how to keep her mate happy and satisfied. LIMITATIONS: Without a doubt her biggest weakness is her mate Reg. She would go to any lengths to defend him even giving up her own life. It would be very easy for anyone to manipulate her by using Reg but it could possibly end up backfiring on them as she is likely to lose all self control and let the animal within take over, which would be bad for all concerned (just ask Reg’s father.) She is also disrespectful of authority and rarely does what she is told which has on occasion led to unpleasant encounters with dominant individuals within the Pack. WEAPONRY TRAINING: Very limited, she doesn’t see the need for violence and would much rather try and talk her way out of a situation but if needed she does know how to defend herself and often carries a small blade concealed in her clothing, just to ward off unwanted attention if they don’t listen when she tells them no. Hayden Paddock. appearance [top.] Cassandra is not a very imposing looking woman, she stands at 5’7” and could possibly be considered to be on the thin side weighing about 121lbs, there really doesn’t seem to be much to her at all. It would be easy to mistake her for someone who would be helpless and unable to defend themselves but this is how Cass wants people to view her so they never expect anything from her until it is too late. Cassandra takes great pride in her appearance, she’s not vain in anyway but does like to look her best all the time if she can. Her clothing reflects this greatly, she loves to wear anything that will show off her figure to its best, preferring dresses and skirts to pants, although she does wear jeans occasionally. Her tops are almost always low cut, with most of them showing off her turning scar, she’ll wear pretty much any colour out there except maybe the really bright ones but she prefers to stick to more neutral shades. Just as with her clothes she is particular about her shoes, she tries to avoid heels that make her taller than Reg so most of them are quite low, they will always suit what she is wearing; she has quite a few pairs of shoes, boots, sandals, pumps, you name them she’s probably got at least one pair in her closet. Her hair is a rich brown and is naturally quite wavy, she likes to let it hang loose a majority of the time, it reaches just below her shoulders normally but she will occasionally straighten her hair and then it hangs slightly longer. In contrast to her dark hair Cass has what some might consider shocking blue eyes; they are the kind that instantly catches your attention when you look at her, often the only part that will betray her true emotions. She owns more jewellery than any women would ever be able to wear at one time and her collection is always growing larger. DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Being a wolf she does have the odd scar here and there, mostly small ones from the odd fight she has had. The only one people are ever likely to see though is her turning scar, the pale mark traces above her left breast across where her heart is; the only person she will let touch it is Reg in fact she quite likes it when he possessively strokes it as if to remind everyone that she is his, if anyone else ever attempted to touch it they would most definitely lose their hand. personality [top.] Cassandra is very much a selfish person and she makes no apologies for being like that. If something doesn’t directly affect her or her mate then she really couldn’t care less about it. She actually doesn’t care what others think of her (apart from Reg) and so she’ll do whatever she wants whenever she wants. She won’t listen to what others tell her most of the time so that has on occasion meant she has clashed with higher ranking wolves in the Pack. She is a very proud person and carries herself as such. Cassandra is also a very sensual creature and is almost always in physical contact with her mate in some way. She’s not above flirting to get what she wants but she does draw the line there, she is completely devoted to her mate and would never imagine doing anything with another person. She is also possessive of Reg and will not tolerate another female trying to gain his attention, especially if it draws it away from her, she’s not above attacking others that try to get in between them; pushed far enough she would even kill. She couldn’t imagine life without him, nor would she want to imagine it. He is her whole world and she would give her life for him (although she would prefer it not to be the case), he is the only one she would imagine fighting for and because of that it would be in anyones best interest to not threaten him or them as a whole. history [top.] FAMILY FATHER: William Hughes (deceased) MOTHER: Miranda Hughes née (deceased) SIBLING(S): Jonathan Hughes (older brother: deceased), Bethany Hughes (younger sister: deceased). ● Cassandra was born into a well off family, their second child; they already had a son Jonathan who was three years old. ● For the first couple of years of her life she got whatever she wanted, both her parents willing to give the little girl their attention whenever she demanded it. Cassandra of course enjoyed this treatment and if they didn’t respond to her quickly enough she would become very upset which only caused her parents to give her what she was after. ● Her father was called up for military service when the Great War started in 1914, leaving Miranda to care for the two children and with another baby on the way. The family moved to the countryside to live with some of Miranda’s relatives whilst William was away. ● Due to the families status William was given a high rank and a regiment to command, he never actually had to fight himself just send other men into the fray. ● When she was four years old her sister Bethany was born. The new baby took attention away for her and this caused Cassandra to act out in anyway she could to get her mothers focus back on her. She quickly realised that by causing trouble she could get people to respond to her even if they had been preoccupied with her baby sister. ● With her father away Cassandra had nobody in her life to discipline her when she went too far, causing her to push the boundaries even further than she had done before. Her mother unable to control the girl at all always gave in to her demands which only made the situation worse. ● Living out in the countryside the family enjoyed relative peace whilst the war was on, not much changed in their daily lives. Cassandra and her brother still attended school everyday and spent the weekends playing outside whenever the weather was nice. ● There were odd occasions when Cassandra would actually help her mother with her baby sister, although it was usually only an attempt to get attention from any adult that was around at the time. ● Cassandra didn’t really understand what was going on and why her father was away, all she knew was that she was getting her own way a majority of the time. ● In the winter of 1918 William returned home, he met his youngest daughter for the first time and started to treat her like she was the only thing that mattered. This didn’t sit well with Cassandra who had always been doted on by her father before he went away. She started to view her sister as competition when it came to getting attention from their parents, which caused quite a few problems in the Hughes household. ● As she got older her behaviour became more rebellious in an attempt to get recognition of some kind from William and Miranda, the couple often unsure how to react to their oldest daughter. ● By the time all three children where in school Cassandra was always causing trouble at home and blaming it on little Bethany, the younger girl not really understanding why her older sister was blaming her for things that were not her fault. ● When she was at school Cass though was actually well behaved, quickly learning that bad behaviour there would only result in punishment, something she wanted to avoid. ● It seemed as though Cassandra was starting to settle down as she headed towards her fourteenth birthday. Almost as if she was growing out of the rebellious behaviour that had plagued her parents for many years. ● The truth though was much worse than even her parents had imagined. Cassandra had discovered that boys were now starting to notice her and the attention they gave her didn’t need to be fought for, she liked not having to fight for it. ● Home life was now calm and her parents were please that their oldest daughter had finally given up her constant need for attention from them.
